It’s said that your twenties are a defining decade. I don’t know how I feel about this, specially having been dealt a not-so-nice hand by life in the way of being a millennial and graduating from university during a horrible recession…
Nevertheless, I have learned some things these past years that I have decided to reflect upon just three months short of saying goodbye to my twenties and entering my thirties. It definitely feels weird to think that I will be turning thirty soon, since in many aspects, when I look at myself in the mirror, I still see a child, and somehow at the same time, like Joan Didion once said, I have already lost touch with a couple of people I used to be…
During the time I have left of my twenties, I have decided to run a bit of a series sharing some “wisdom” (ha! Imagine that!) I’ve acquired during this second decade of my life and I both hope you’ll enjoy it and it will be in some way useful for all of you entering or still navigating your twenties.
While my twenties were definitely not awful (I remember this being the case with my teenage years), they’re also not all they’re cracked up to be, and I certainly believe the best is yet to come!
