This post is brought to you by BodyBoss, opinions are, as always, all mine.
You guys know I have been working on my health and fitness since last year and that’s why I want to tell you about the latest thing I’ve incorporated into my routine: BodyBoss Ultimate Body Fitness Guide.
I had made some encouraging improvement by adopting healthier habits in general, but I started to notice my progress was plateauing during the past few months, and I knew I had to address the elephant in the room: I need to exercise more, but I just don’t see the appeal or really enjoy getting all sweaty and spending lots of time in a purely physical activity.
Despite that, I do realize that as I get older, I cannot keep avoiding the fact that being more active is becoming increasingly important. I realize this, and yet, I am not willing to devote lots of time to it. If you know me, you are well aware that I rather be reading, writing, or painting. It’s just how it is.
This is why the time aspect was probably what drew me the most to the BodyBoss Fitness Guide, as you only need 24 minutes, 3 times a week! So no excuses not to workout! The guide includes a free 4-Week Pre-Training for beginners like me who need bit more of time to ease into the habit of working out! I’m on Week 3 and I can’t wait to start the main program!
The second thing that drew me to this program was that it is fully designed for you. I have learned a lot about nutrition, but I’m far from an exercise expert, so I really appreciate the no-brainer approach I can enjoy using this guide. On Mondays, we work our Legs & Booty. Wednesdays are for Arms, abs and core. Friday is Full Body workout.
I have to be honest though, and as much as I have enjoyed following the BodyBoss Guide and plan on using it even after I complete the whole program, the first day KILLED ME. I might have not been super active during my adulthood, but I have not been entirely sedentary. I do some dancing and some yoga a few times a week, so I overestimated my fitness level, and even the pre-training part of the guide kicked my butt. That said, I did not die (just got very sore), so if I can do it, you can too!
So what is exactly this guide about?
The BodyBoss program is a 12-week step-by-step program designed around High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) circuits. The program consists of 4 cycles of 3 weeks that will help you burn fat and tone up those trouble areas. There also a 4-week pre-training program in case you, like me, need a bit of help preparing to follow the rest of the guide and its more intense workouts.
The biggest benefit of the Bodyboss Method over other workouts lies in the afterburn effect, or what they call, the #BossEffect. After completing a BodyBoss workout, you’ll continue to burn calories for hours as the body completes a range of functions to recover from the intense exercise. You can expect to burn 100 calories or more after your workout has finished, so you will burn fat even while you sleep!
BodyBoss Fitness Guide is available both in printed version and in digital format. I have both and love the convenience of the printed guide, but also love that the digital version can be accessed anywhere AND it’s interactive, so if you are like me and need a bit more guidance to learn some of the moves, the interactive guide will show you exactly how you’re supposed to perform them! This is huge for me because I know how important proper execution is to avoid injuries and get the expected results!
Like I mentioned before, I had to ease into the program, so I’m not too far ahead yet. However, I have started feeling that my general fitness is improving and I’m already feeling stronger! One of my favorite jeans is already fitting better too!
So, are you ready to become the boss of your body? Get the guide here (and let me know how you like it!)
