I have always, since as far as I can remember, been a feminist. It has always been a part of me, and one I’m very proud of.
I’ve been mocked, laughed at, confronted and criticized for it, and I don’t remember ever caring, just feeling this huge disappointment at whoever was directing such hostility in my way.
As horrible as this might sound, I have always kind of pitted these people. They are blind, uneducated on the current problems faced by many and even working against themselves quite often. This is why, when strong women I admire take a stand on this issue, I can’t help but feel ecstatic.
The latest amazing woman to join our ranks and efforts to vanquish inequality and try to combat all the negativity that surrounds the “F” (feminist) word, is Emma Watson.

I hope you will join us in helping each other and taking the stigma out of the “feminist” label, or even better, let’s work to make the need for such a word history!
